The best way to play some good texas holdem poker for a newbie is to know your startinghands. There is some 169 different startinghands in holdem. 80 of them are playable. The absolutely best hand you can be delt before the flop is A-A and the worst is 7-2 unsuited. Vich one of the 80 startinghands depends on your position to the dealerbutton.

A common misstake for ner players is to think " I can win with every hand". You canīt. Sure you can win with any hand once in a while but thats another story. This is about texas holdem startinghands and wich one to play and not.

The best texas holdem startinghands:

• Group 1) A-A, K-K, Q-Q, J-J and A-Ks. These are the best startinghands you can get.
• Group 2) T-T, A-K, A-Qs, A-Js, K-Qs
• Group 3) A-Q, 9-9, A-Ts, K-Js, Q-Js, K-Ts, J-Ts
• Group 4) 8-8, A-J, K-Q, Q-Ts, A-9s, A-T, A-8s

Note: s=suited, A=Ace, K=King, Q=Queen, J=Jack and T=Ten.

Do you restrict yourself to ONLY play these hands you will have the advantage over the "calling stations" and the players who play for recreating only, and they are many. But beware, like I said before, theese hands doesnīt automaticly make you a winner and thats poker. But these hand will dramaticly increase your chances to win.
