To determine a winner the highest hand wins. If two players both have the same highest hand then the one with the highest numbers win. Knowing the possible hands will help you to better determine your hand odds.

Figuring hand odds is complicated. Most people look at websites, books or other reference sources at pre-made charts that show the probabilities of hands. Then figure the number of other cards already dealt to other players and hat has been burned. Subtract this number from 52.
